Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 27, 2026

1. Introduction

RunCLI (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the website runcli.ai and provides AI-powered online tools. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your information when you use our services.

By using RunCLI, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

Account information: When you sign in with Google, we collect your email address, display name, and profile picture. We do not collect or store your Google password.

Usage data: We collect information about how you use our tools, including tool usage history, session data, credits consumed, and timestamps. This helps us improve our services and provide accurate billing.

Input data: When you use our tools, we process the content you provide — text, audio files, images, URLs, or PDF documents. See Section 3 for how we handle this data.

Payment information: Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We never receive or store your credit card number, expiration date, or CVC. We only receive confirmation of successful payments and your Stripe customer ID.

Device and browser information: We automatically collect your IP address, browser type, operating system, and referring URL for security, analytics, and rate-limiting purposes.

3. How We Process Your Input Data

Real-time processing: Audio streams (from Live Transcription and Real-Time Translator) are processed in real time and are not stored on our servers. Once your session ends, the audio data is gone.

Uploaded files: Files you upload (audio, images, PDFs) are processed on our servers and stored temporarily to deliver results. Output files are available for download for up to 7 days, after which they are automatically deleted.

Text input: Text you paste or type is processed in memory and is not stored after your session completes.

YouTube data: When you use YouTube tools, we fetch publicly available captions and metadata from YouTube. We do not download or store YouTube videos on your behalf beyond temporary processing.

4. AI and Machine Learning

We do not train AI models on your data. Your uploads, text, audio, and other input are used solely to generate results for you. We do not use your content to train, fine-tune, or improve any machine learning models — ours or anyone else's.

We use third-party AI services (listed in Section 6) to process your data. These services have their own data handling policies, but we select providers that do not train on API customer data.

AI output accuracy: Results generated by our AI-powered tools may contain errors or inaccuracies. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any output before relying on it.

5. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain our services
  • Process your tool requests and deliver results
  • Manage your account, credits balance, and subscriptions
  • Process payments through Stripe
  • Enforce rate limits and prevent abuse
  • Send essential service notifications (e.g., payment confirmations)
  • Improve and optimize our services based on aggregate usage patterns

We do not sell your personal information. We do not send marketing emails unless you explicitly opt in.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate RunCLI:

  • Google OAuth — Authentication (sign-in only; we do not access your Google data beyond basic profile info)
  • Stripe — Payment processing (Stripe Privacy Policy)
  • Cloudflare — Hosting, CDN, image processing (background removal), and file storage (R2)
  • Deepgram — Speech recognition and transcription

These providers process your data on our behalf and are contractually obligated to protect it. We do not share your data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

7. Cookies

We use a minimal number of cookies:

  • Session cookie — An HTTP-only cookie that keeps you signed in. It contains an encrypted token and expires after 7 days.
  • Cloudflare cookies — Cloudflare may set cookies for security and performance purposes (e.g., bot detection).

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use our site (pages visited, time on site, country). Google Analytics uses cookies to collect anonymous usage data. You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

8. Data Security and Retention

Encryption: All data in transit is encrypted using TLS (HTTPS). Our database connections use SSL.

File retention: Uploaded and output files are automatically deleted within 7 days. Real-time audio streams are never stored.

Account data: Your account information (email, name, usage history, credits) is retained as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days.

Payment data: Payment records are retained as required by tax and financial regulations (typically 7 years). Credit card details are never stored on our servers — they are held by Stripe.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data.

For California residents (CCPA): We do not sell personal information. You have the right to know what data we collect, request deletion, and not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.
